WELCOME TO STOCKPORT ADVANCED MOTORISTS

The Stockport Advanced Motorists group is affiliated to IAM RoadSmart and has been providing IAM driving courses since 1978 in Stockport and the surrounding areas with the aim of promoting better driving standards and improving safety on the roads.

Where possible the group works with local companies and obtains funds to provide sponsored places for drivers under 26yrs old who are statistically most likely to be involved in collisions on the road. These places are limited availability at this time but it is hoped to secure additional funding in due course.

The IAM RoadSmart "Advanced Driver Course" covers all types of road situations, including motorway driving, and helps students to develop driver skills in anticipating and dealing with potential hazardous situations.
